Doodles are the most loved, most groomed dogs in our salon, and the coat that asks the most in return. Here is how we keep yours in teddy bear territory.
On any given day at Eze Paws, the schedule reads like a doodle family reunion: goldendoodles, labradoodles, bernedoodles, cavapoos, maltipoos, and every mini and standard in between. That is not an accident. The poodle-mix coat, that soft, curly, ever-growing cloud everyone fell in love with, is also the most demanding coat in dogdom, and doodle parents find their way to groomers who work with it all day long.

A doodle groom is only as good as the brush out under it. We dry and line brush all the way to the skin, because a haircut over hidden mats is a haircut that falls apart in a week.

A rhythm, not a rescue
Doodles thrive on a standing appointment every four to eight weeks. Regulars keep their length; rescue missions usually end shorter than anyone wanted.

What a doodle groom costs here
Full grooms are priced by size, from $85 for a toy up to $155 for a big 51 to 70 pound standard, and doodle and specialty coats may add a styling fee from $20 for the extra scissor work. Spa baths use the long-coat column on our menu. No surprises: anything coat-condition related gets discussed with you before we start.
Why doodles mat, and where
The soft undercoat tangles wherever there is friction: behind the ears, under the collar and harness, armpits, and the tail base. At home, a slicker brush followed by a metal comb down to the skin a few times a week keeps you ahead of it. If the comb will not pass, the mat is already forming.
If the coat is past saving
De-matting runs from $15 by severity, and we will always be straight with you about the line between de-matting and discomfort. When a coat is truly felted, the kindest cut is a short one; doodle hair grows fast, and we will set up the schedule so it never gets there again.
Between grooms, two cheats
A Face, Feet & Fanny Tidy at $25 keeps the eyes clear and the look sharp mid-cycle, and our $30 self service wash handles the beach day, no appointment needed. Doodle puppy at home? Start the habit early with a gentle first groom.
